The place is wrecked!
I used to sneak into Cookes level in the 1990s when it was still working. To see the mess its in today really riles me.

Probably the biggest achievement I have made so far , roughly 30m of bolt climbing up and this reward with my colleague in the photo ! Still got 80m more to climb .

A couple of one of my favourite places.
The loading point. Coal was taken out of the Coal face on the right on a conveyor and dropped into a tub.
The coal was worked the same was as Ayle is today, a sump is driven every so often and the coal is worked from the sides. Once all the coal has been taken the waste rock is put back in the Gob.

If you send them to someone on WhatsApp, and save that version you can upload it.
There was talk about the auto compressor, it was going to cost money just for that .
I believe the next large software update will have this built in .
Another option for now is to save them to Flickr , once on Flickr download them at a lower resolution & upload

I use xnconvert for batch compression. Free for private use, and multiplatform. https://www.xnview.com/en/xnconvert/
Another vote for xncovert. I use it for resizing and renaming thumbnails.
You can use it for all sorts of other batch operations as well - cropping, colour adjustments, filters, meta data removal etc. etc.
