The main impression I got was how accommodating everyone was by arranging visits to sites where access had to be arranged in advance. To have mines and mills opened up specially for us was a privilege.

Unfortunately, all did not go well ...

A break down on the M4 in south Wales (not roadside reparable) on Thursday and non-trival delays in sorting out vehicle recovery and a hire car meant that onward travel wasn't feasible.

Sorry to hear you didn't make it, if you decide to travel down this way in the future, do please get in touch and I will endeavour to entertain you with any trips you may have missed out on.
