Ridge / west monks park quarry, corsham access

Having spent an unfruitful morning checking on how sealed some sites around corsham are, I went to check on the 2nd slope shaft at ridge quarry. Now I’m aware this used to be accessible and then at some stage became lost, or atleast was referred to as. However I stumbled across this “somewhat” blocked hole

Looks to continue past the rubbish & barbed wire, but before I go back and drag myself through that, I was wondering if anyone has done the same? Or if anyone has info on how it was “lost”?

Cheers for the update , you can tell the price of scrap must be low to put it in there for long term storage ;)

I haven't been down that why for a while, but on my last visit both of the entrances were covered with very large boulders, you could just about make out the door they have been sat on to of.

this isn't the small Ridge bunker on the other side of the road by any chance?

That’s what I’d heard, was under the impression it was blocked similarly to copenacre.
I’m not sure, I didn’t know about a 2nd bunker, only the slope shafts, was in the woods around hereIMG_1133.jpeg
I will certainly be going back to force myself through, just trying to figure out if I’m gonna meet a brick wall on other side!

looking at where you arrow is I think that's the Ridge Quarry Trial Shaft No2, (Shown as "Trial Shaft" on 1921 OS 1:10,560 map)

the slope shaft at copenacre is a no go, and the airshaft in the field has been well capped.
