This tin mine operated on the western extensions of the Great Hewas lodes. Initially worked on a small scale, it was later amalgamated with Great Dowgas Mine. The grid reference marks the ruin of the engine house, situated in the middle of a field near Ventonwyn farm. Production records indicate that between 1889 and 1909, the mine produced 167 tons of black tin, with the majority of this ore being raised after 1903, during its association with Great Dowgas Mine.
