Four trial adits on east side of valley quarter mile west of Fron las isaf. No historical detail. All collapsed, although that at southern end appears to be used for water abstraction. The only mineral visible is pyrite.
However, 1865 Mining Journal reports:
The satisfactory intelligence has been received by Mr W.H. Davies of Ty-Gwynne (Kilgerran), that his miners had cut a lode in the forebreast of the south level, the stone of which contain visible gold. A short time since a copper lode was cut in the same level. The gold discovery, which is regarded as the first in South Wales, caused great rejoicing at Kilgerran and neighbouring villages. (Hall)
