Evidence of these workings may still be present within the securely fenced-off woodland area to the east of the modern industrial buildings.

Between 1900 and 1902, the mine was owned by Brunner Mond & Co. Ltd., which briefly operated the site. The company had developed a method for processing zinc ore, though actual mining at this specific location may have played only a minor role in their broader operations in the area.
