1870 with Hallenbeagle. This was a small tin and copper mine, operating some lodes in the vicinity north of the Wheal Rose section of Great North Downs Mine and west of the railway line. Over time, the workings have mostly vanished beneath the A30 road and nearby construction. Operating under the name Eastdowns, the mine produced 2,410 tons of copper ore. Additionally, in collaboration with a mine known as Silverwell in the St Agnes district, it yielded another 85 tons of copper ore averaging 5% copper content, along with some black tin between 1863 and 1899.
