Open-cast. Thin vein of barytes occurs in old limestone quarry, now filled with water, in front of farm house of Crawfield, ¾ mile east from Glengamock Station, & c. 200 yards. East of Kilbirnie Branch Railway. Barytes is of good quality, and vein, about 1 ft wide, trends NW, & appears opened up by a trench for a short distance.
