Working on levels with inclines and drums.**
Four inclines survive, including a ruined drum house. Numerous dressing sheds and weigh houses remain, one retaining its mechanism. The mill area has been largely cleared, with only machine bases and a wheel pit surviving due to tipping and bulk fill.
Commenced in the 1860s on the site of earlier workings. It was worked on five levels connected by inclines to a water-powered mill; from 1875 it also processed Penllyn output. The operation used circular saws, possibly including a Hunter saw, alongside sand-saws which continued until closure. Early output was carted to Trefriw; later a rail siding from the Blaenau branch of the L&NWR was installed. Combined tonnage, including Penllyn, may have approached 2000 tons per annum. The quarry closed in 1924.
Public footpath passes below the quarry. Quarry is on private land, but there is a convenient farm gate at the bottom of the incline.
