Grid ref from Cambrian was SH 6829 0446.
Bick has location quoted as within 2 miles of the port of Garreg, he then gives possible location as SN 728 962, and nearest shaft gives SN 7266 9625, so we’re using this.
WMS - see link attrbutes as follows, although doesn’t give specific name:
Upper Brwyno - A shaft at SN 7266 9624 close to the stream seems to have comprised the entire effort. The site is now obscured in thick forest. The BGS map shows a small NW trending fault here, but a NNE trending fault is also permissible.
1853 - Engine shaft sunk to 12 fm, with three lodes, one of which was 1-2m wide ‘holding out great promise and comprised of fine gossan, prian, spar and branches of lead ore’.
