Small pit.
All remains destroyed by 1990s landscaping and roadworks.
Began as a small, unmechanised operation and was later developed into a three-floor pit with limited underground trials. It was worked sporadically from the late 18th century, with a few hundred tons carted to Trefriw up to the 1860s. The site was briefly revived in the 1920s, when internal-combustion engine haulage was introduced.
