Description
The original mine sett appears to have been disrupted by the construction of the A55 road.
Visible evidence of mining activity remains in the form of shaft mounds near the Smithy Gate dwellings (SJ 1770 7524). These workings follow the north-south Bryniau cross-course vein, continuing southward toward the Ashton sett at SJ 1780 7470.
