c1869 | Company mining the Bryn yr Arian sett start work at Pensarn which is at the eastern end Bryn yr Arian sett. Pensarn new shaft at 12fm deep was being sunk by 9 men, with wheelpit, launder, flat rods and bobs installed under a Mr Edwards. |
1870 | Capt Joseph Richard recommends unwatering 40fm deep old shaft. |
1871 | Company runs out of resource, mine(s) for sale. |
1878 | Company running the failing Cwm Dwyfor mine relocate here to work Pensarn. Work recommences on new shaft under Captain J. Ridge, some work also done at Bryn yr Arian. |
1886 | Mine closes, no ore having been raised. |
