Line of shafts can still be traced along the Kelston Vein, with the larger ones situated at specific locations, including SJ 1040 8250 to the north-west of Kelston Farm, and others to the south and west of the farm, such as SJ 1030 8220, SJ 1030 8275, SJ 1020 8265, and SJ 1010 8255. The southernmost shaft of the vein remains at SJ 1025 8220. All of these shafts are now either capped or filled.
The Kelston Vein, located to the north-west of Kelston Farm, was worked through a series of shafts and opencuts. Later, the Talacre Company extended the workings to deeper levels.
