Old workings. Possibly North Wheal Providence. Tin mine situated on the western slopes of Hardhead Downs, located opposite the Glynn Valley China Clay Works. The mine exploited six lodes, which were worked from shallow shafts in areas where the granite was soft and decomposed. Additionally, visible at the surface are trenches and lines of trial pits along the strikes of some of these lodes.
