Established in the early 1800s and underwent reworking in 1836 and again in 1858-1859. It was reopened once more in 1907, but no further production ensued. The mine’s sett included two east-west-trending lodes, which were exploited from an adit and a shaft extending only 12 fathoms below adit level. These lodes experienced slight displacement due to two north-south-trending cross-courses, one of which contained some torbernite near its intersection. Between 1858 and 1859, the mine sold 426 tons of iron ore. Additionally, Dines mentioned the presence of two tin lodes on an east-west trend approximately 15 fathoms apart at the adit, which had been followed for about 60 fathoms.
