Engine shaft recorded at 180ft deep, 6x4ft at the top, previously covered by large stone beehive cap, dismantled by the DPC to enable their descent in 1909.
The precise location of the shaft is now lost, presumably re-capped more securely after this descent .
Remains of a gin circle, and associated spoil tips are visible (Jan 2026).
