1875-1880 Thomas Creswick

Comprised three gales: Lydbrook, Birchen Grove, and Pluds (also spelled Pludds). The Pluds Shaft was sunk between 1892 and 1893 and accessed two coal seams. The upper seam was the Yorkley Seam, approximately 2 feet thick, reached at a depth of 144 feet. Below it lay the more substantial Coleford High Delf Seam, 4 feet thick, worked at a depth of 394 feet.
