Small lead mine, located to the east of Perranwell station, worked a north-south trending lead lode. According to Hamilton Jenkin, mining activities at this site commenced before 1838. The grid reference marks one of the dumps from the mine’s shaft. Additional dumps can be found near a small stream to the south and in the corners of the field across the road to the north.
