Year Activity
1840s Worked for a period by Matthew Francis following the discovery of rich ore at the surface.
1849 Worked again by Francis together with Court Grange Company. Pumping and crushing by waterwheel with water taken from Taylors’ Horridge leat, leading to conflict with the Taylors.
1851 Mine down to 20fm.
c1854 Production ceases.
1868 The Taylors raise £10,000 to examine the lode at depth. Name changed to Vaughan. Deep adit started from near Llechwedd Helyg, several tons of manganes ore discovered in the process.
1877 Deep adit breaks through into mine 55fm below shallow adit, 67fm below surface. The ore not cosidered good at depth, no further sinking done, and pumps now become redundant. Stoping done at intersection of North, Middle and South llodes between shallow and deep adits.
1881 Mine closes.
1910-1 Some ore returned.

Total production: 581 tons lead, 282 tons of blende - much returned during the Court Grange days.
