Unsuccessful attempt to revive the older Wheal Chance mine took place. The mine operated a northeast-trending lode within granite terrain, accessed by multiple adits southwest of Rosemorran farm. From 1908 to 1913, it managed to produce 3.5 tons of black tin. An additional effort was made around 1930, but no further production was achieved. Since 1974, the mine has been under private ownership and is utilized as an industrial archaeology and field training center.
