There is evidence of a large whim shaft, which has since been cut in half, that was formerly used to operate the engine shaft. The site was later re-equipped with a steam pumping engine in 1858 (Davies 1964). The shallower shafts in the area had whims.

The seating blocks for the engine are barely visible today. The remains of the pumping engine house show that it was accompanied by a boiler house and a chimney to its south. Additionally, two pools, likely used for water storage, are present to the west and east of the engine house.

The dressing floor areas were located at the Western Shaft site and the remains of ore bins can still be found on the side of the spoil tips near the destroyed engine house.

An incline appears to run downhill from the Hill Shaft to Western Shaft and the dressing floor areas.

The Hill Shaft is located approximately 300 meters uphill to the southeast of Western Shaft at SJ 2560 7120. The now substantially capped shaft, was originally sunk before 1850. The site contains extensive spoil heaps, along with the demolished remains of an engine house situated to the south of the shaft.

A large shaft also lies further south of this area at SJ 2560 5100. The Park Mines were historically drained using the Minera Upper Day Level.
