Water influx. This copper mine, situated on the eastern slope of Caradon Hill, exploited the eastern extensions of certain lodes also mined at South Caradon Mine. From 1860 to 1885, it yielded 54,000 tons of copper ore averaging 7% copper content. Occasionally, the ore contained 3-4 ounces of silver per ton. The provided grid reference denotes the location of Williams’s shaft.
