Slab quarry, various buildings.**
The formation of the hand-wound incline is barely visible, although several substantial mill and service buildings survive
Opened in 1847 to produce slate slabs, but poor rock quality and difficult access hampered its success. Substantial new buildings were added in the 1890s, and after a period of closure the site reopened, employing about 34 men in the early 20th century. It remained in operation until the Second World War, by which time the workforce had dwindled to around five men and annual output had fallen below 100 tons. Power on site came from a 12‑horsepower steam engine that drove two saws and two planers.
