Old - incomplete records. Characterized by three east-west trending lodes, located on the valley side north of Sweethouse and primarily within Lanhydrock. Engine Shaft was sunk to a depth of 110 fathoms, but the production was limited, with only 130 tons of copper ore and 2 tons of black tin recorded between 1823-24 and 1853-69. There’s a mention of danalite at Wheal Maudlin, cited by Kingsbury in 1961, although further confirmation is necessary considering doubts about the origin of other specimens mentioned by Kingsbury. Additionally, it’s noted that due to administrative reorganization, the mine is now located in Lostwithiel parish, contrary to its previous placement in Lanlivery for many decades.
