See also: North Downs Mine. Copper and tin mine operated along ENE-trending lodes, situated between the Great North Downs mine to the east and Wheal Mary to the west. Its western boundary was delineated by the Shanger crosscourse, located approximately beneath a small stream between Great Sinns and Little Sinns, with Wheal Mary owning the workings on the west side of this valley. The eastern boundary, marked by the County crosscourse around 600 yards to the east, defined the Little North Downs sett. From 1815 to 1871, the mine yielded 29,849 tons of 8% copper ore and 12 tons of black tin. Between 1912 and 1919, it was worked for tungsten alongside Wheal Peevor, producing 9 tons of black tin and 5.3 tons of wolframite. Additionally, the mine reportedly extracted small quantities of silver ores.
