A formerly blocked long adit emerges near the old mill on the river bank. At the base of the wooded hillside are a series of inclined open stopes, up to around 80 ft deep, which connect with the Deep Adit. Some of these stopes are blind, while others are awkward and potentially hazardous to descend. The upper stopes can be descended to adit level, though care is required due to loose rock.

Nearby is a stone-lined shaft, reported to descend via 70 ft and 20 ft pitches to a passage blocked in both directions, one of which is believed to have connected with the Deep Adit. The Deep Adit itself was reopened in the early 2000s.
