Evidence of the workings includes a large shaft at SJ 1695 7575, with another mound to the south at SJ 1695 7500. The site is intersected to the north by the earthworks of the Quarry incline. Additional shaft mounds at SJ 1705 7565 to the southeast may be associated with the Gladstone sett.
Lead production was recorded for the site between 1902 and 1904 (Burt et al., 1992), though the sett is located within an area of earlier lead mining and quarrying. It lies at the southern extremity of the Golch Hill Vein, a branch of the main Milwr Vein.
