Extensive workings near Llyn Pencraig. Being beneath the lake, the workings were prone to flooding so a deep adit was driven from the banks of the river Llugwy for over 1km, reaching a point 200ft below the mine workings in 1907. The mine is also alleged to be linked underground to the Ffriddllechwedd workings.
Two E-W lodes, Cyffty to the north, Chellinor to the south. The NE-SW Ffridd Lode enters the eastern part of the sett.
The name of lodes and shafts varied with the multitude of companies that operated here. Some evidence of Roman activity in the locality.
