Mindata states:
There were two separate properties at Cesailgwm, Cesailgwm-bach, where most of the (limited) work here occurred, and Cesailgwm-mawr.
At Cesailgwm-bach on the east side of the valley, shafts and adits were driven on the Wnin lode (4ft wide here) where the lode rans over the hill at surface. Minor trial cuts were made at Cesailgwm-mawr, which lies on the west side of the valley at the eastern end of the St David’s lode.
Working, which began in 1898, stopped until 1899 when the properties were taken over by the St David’s Mining Development Company. Britten Pans (at SH695204) were erected to crush the ore around 1900.
After the break up of the St David’s Company in 1902 the property was worked by the Borth Valley Mining Company in 1906. Clearly unsuccessful, the only recorded output from this location was for 1906 when 169 tons of ore produced 27 ounces of gold.
