Situated on the east side of the main road through Frizington, was part of the Frizington Parks group. Mining operations began in 1855 under the management of the Parkside Mining Company. In 1875, ownership transferred to the Goose Green Iron Ore Company, which operated the mine until 1892. Subsequently, the mine was abandoned until the Frizington Mining Company resumed extraction of ore from the upper levels between 1910 and 1913.
