Amalgamation: Trevanion. small lead and silver operation situated on the southwest slope of Crow Hill, operated intermittently from 1852 to 1869. In 1869, efforts were made to connect its workings with those of Wheal Louise through a crosscut. The mine was briefly reopened in 1910, during which a small amount of ore containing uranium was extracted. Further exploration occurred in 1913, but the outcomes are not documented. Initially listed as New Crow Hill Mine by Spargo in 1865, it’s noted by Dines and Hamilton Jenkin that Trevanion Mine, mentioned in 1838 by Boase, may have been an earlier working of Crowhill Mine or referred to a small operation on the western extension of the lodes across the river Fal.
