Worked the same NE-SW lode as Pant yr Ewig which it underworked without actually connecting.

This small mine is to the north of a stream as it plunges down the steep Clogwyn Gwlyb escarpment. At the head of the escarpment is some stonework which represents the remains of a dam. The workings are fenced off and extend down the escarpment for a distance of about 200’. At the top is a small shaft. Further down are a couple of semi-blocked adits, with an open, but fenced off adit at the bottom.

Year Activity
1842 A Hugh Jones with one or two men clearing the old level and washing ore.
1853 William Williams active.
1859 William Williams forms partnership with Pierce Williams of Ffrith Hafotty to operate both mines, John Edwards being the other partner. 19 men at work.
1862 After disagreement over lease, lease forfeited.
1868 Lease for the 2 sites taken by L. Ledward & J.E. Jones who had 12 men draining the mine. Couple of tons of ore recovered.
1877 After some unsuccesfull years lease taken by Trefriw Mining Company Limited, subscribed to mainly by local men.

Consult Vernon & Bennet for what now becomes a mish mash of different workings worked by same company.
