Estimated Grid Ref. Identified as ‘a rich tin mine’ on Thomas Withiel’s map of Perranarworthal from 1691, was later revived and reopened as South United Mine in 1850. The grid reference provided denotes the location of one of the shafts. Unfortunately, the area is now largely obscured by ongoing building operations.
