Originally: East, West and Middle Barncoode. This mine operated two main lodes: the tin-bearing Mowhay Lode, considered an extension of Duncan’s Lode from Cook’s Kitchen Mine to the east, and the copper-bearing Barncoose Lode, part of Tincroft North Lode towards the east. Initially active before 1800, it ceased operations around 1803 and remained dormant for 15 years. From 1819 to 1821, it resumed activity, yielding 206 tons of copper ore at a grade of 13%. After another period of inactivity, it merged with Carn Brea Mine in 1831. By 1872, depletion of the lodes led to abandonment, particularly of the Barncoose section, as it was exhausted.
