Formerly known as Wheal Gilbert, this mine was operated in conjunction with Wheal Tolgus for a period of time. Its dumps can be found on the western slope of the valley north of Gilberts Coombe. In 1859, the mine yielded 173 tons of copper ore, 8 tons of black tin, and 5 tons of zinc ore.
