All surface structures and the shaft have vanished, leaving no visible evidence of mining infrastructure. However, the coal tip survives, clearly marked on the 1:25,000 OS map. Now wooded, it features a distinctive outer rampart.
Site was originally applied for by James and George Meek in 1842, but records show it was already acquired and being worked earlier — sold to the Cheltenham and Forest of Dean Mining Company in 1838. The company worked the Coleford High Delf seam, one of the most valuable in the Forest of Dean coalfield. The site eventually closed in 1902.
