Operated by exploiting a series of east-northeast-trending lodes situated to the east of North Country hamlet. A notable feature in the area is an elvan dyke that traverses the mining sett, running roughly parallel to the lodes. South of the elvan, three significant lodes were worked, namely Shanger lode, Good Fortune lode (also known as Carr’s lode), and Wheal Maria lode. The eastern sections of Shanger and Wheal Maria lodes were mined respectively by Little North Downs mine and West Wheal Peevor.

To the north of the elvan, there are three additional lodes on which minimal work was carried out.
