1878 | ‘Launched’ by Absalom Franic with the name South Cambrian to cash in on the name of the nearby and succesfull copper mine Esgair Fraith, then working under the name Cambrian. At this time, consisted solely of 90fm adit that ‘contained rich courses of galena and blende, together with malachite, grey and black copper ores simply waiting to be stoped’ |
1880 | Sufficient capital had been raised to operate the mine with 40’ waterwheel, and subtantial dressing floors. |
c1882 | Mine folds having only sold a few tons of blende. |
c1900 | Attempt at revival, new adit started from the east near the stream. |
c1905 | Closed having raised 26 tons of blende. |
