This mine primarily extracted copper and tin, focusing on the Greath South Tolgus Main Lode, known as the Fortune lode in Wheal Tehidy to the west. From 1854 to 1869, it yielded 16,500 tons of copper ore with a grade of 6.5%, along with 101 tons of black tin. It should be noted that this mine is distinct from South Wheal Tolgus.
