Worked the rich E-W Pant Vein. much of the sett has been lost due to quarrying activities. The remaining area features large shafts and spoil heaps with no related structures still standing. The land has since been repurposed for pasture and is partially enclosed as farmland.
A lease for the sett was initially granted to Rowley by the Grosvenors in 1622. The land was subsequently leased and worked by the Quaker Company before 1720. By 1721, the company is noted to have begun sinking a windshaft, and by 1730, a Newcomen engine was installed on the sett.
