Ancient lead mine that operated beneath the dunes at Fistral Bay, with its lode trending in a northwest direction. Over time, the mine’s workings have vanished entirely under the Newquay Golf Course. Historical records indicate that in 1845, the mine yielded 75 tons of lead ore with a grade of 60%.
