Follows the east-west Creigiawg Lode through Carboniferous Limestone. Two shafts are recorded—one at SJ20355590, now overgrown, and another at SJ20555570 on the edge of woodland. These shafts appeared on the first edition OS map of 1874.
Worked from at least the mid-19th century, with records indicating operations under the Bodidris Company before becoming the Creigiog Mining Company Ltd. The mine was active from 1884 to 1887 near Cefn-Coed, with earlier sale records in 1849 listing extensive machinery, including a Boulton and Watt 48-inch cylinder pumping engine. The mine was offered for sale in 1853 but continued operations until 1885.
