Tavy Consols operated both independently and in collaboration with nearby Atlas and Smallcombe mines. It ceased operations around 1920, possibly serving as a processing site for the output from these two neighboring mines. The grid reference provided corresponds to a sizable and well-preserved wheel pit, accompanied by a heap of crushed rock solidified with rust located just beyond it.
