A gated portal situated on the north side of the Nenthead-Alston road, about 150 yards west of Nentsberry Bridge. Unfortunately, the level has collapsed, rendering it inaccessible. However, the workings in Cumbria can still be accessed via Brownley Hill Mine. It’s worth noting that many of the veins worked from this level extend across the county border into Northumberland, and some of these can be reached through Wellhope shaft.
