Remains of some ore bins adjacent to the access road as well as a single piece of rail from the Ffestiniog Railway branch that went up to the quarry. The quarry area is being used as some sort of scrapyard.
Diorite quarry operated by the Groby Granite Company Ltd*. Served by a branch of the Ffestiniog Railway from 1908. After closure most metalwork and machinery was removed.
*The company was based at Groby in Leicestershire where their original quarry was located.
A public footpath follows the access road but there is no access to the disused quarry itself.
