Unity Wood Mine stretches approximately 1 kilometer in an east-northeast direction from Zimapan to the vicinity of St Neot farm, traversing the southern section of Unity Wood. The most notable remnants of the mine are two engine houses near Magors Shaft. One is a large pumping engine house associated with Magors Shaft, while the other, a smaller rotative engine house, appears to have served various purposes such as stamping and winding. Interestingly, this engine house’s alignment suggests it may have operated from a shaft located southwest of it, rather than directly from Magors Shaft.

A substantial dump can still be found southwest of Magors pumping engine house, promising specimens for those who search diligently. Additionally, an accessible dump from Harpers Shaft is located approximately 100 meters northeast of Magors Shaft. Within the woodland section of the mine, several shafts exist, although many are choked or have been made safe. Extensive ancient surface workings mark the courses of lodes throughout the site.
