Eventually became part of the Basset group of mines. It is referenced in various publications including the ‘Cornish Mineral Reference Manual’ by Golley & Williams (1995), Rocks & Minerals journal (Vol. 17, p. 130), and the book ‘Minerals of Cornwall and Devon’ by P.G. Embrey and R.F. Symes (1987, p. 45). Notable features of the site include a large group of impressive buildings located at Marriot’s Shaft, which includes an open and circular engine house, dry, stamps, boiler houses, and other structures. Additionally, there are other engine houses nearby. While many of the dumps have been largely removed and grassed over, remnants of the mine’s infrastructure still stand as a testament to its historical significance.
