An ancient lead mine situated on the eastern bank of the river Seaton, across from Roseland village. The mine operated on a southeast-trending lode, accessed via a shaft that descends vertically to adit level (27 fathoms), then follows the dip of the lode to a depth of 55 fathoms. The adit starts near the river and extends 175 fathoms in the east-northeast direction, intersecting the lode at 130 fathoms from its entrance and 15 fathoms southeast of the shaft.
