The foremost mining endeavor within the jurisdiction of the Trust Lords of Kettlewell, positioned east of the village in Dowber Gill, stands as a pivotal operation. The Middle Level, identified by the provided grid reference, represents a significant locus of activity, with Rain Slack Low Level at SD98547295 constituting another principal site. Veins targeted for extraction encompassed Hooksbank, Dowber Gill, Smith’s, Old Providence, Exhibition, Australia, and Rain Slack. Notably, Brackmint Level (SD98607312), though affiliated with this consortium of mines, focused on veins within the Cam Pasture sett to the northwest.
